About 8ECM

Supporters

We are especially honoured that the 8th European Congress of Mathematics is under the honorary patronage of

His Excellency Mr. Borut Pahor, President of the Republic of Slovenia.

The 8th European Congress of Mathematics has strong support, both in the International and Slovene scientific community.

It is an important milestone and a great opportunity for the visibility of Slovenian mathematics, as well as mathematics in the region. Slovene mathematicians publish annually about 300 mathematical papers in international journals, and their research has always had a strong link with the international community.

However, as much as it is vital to nurture and develop cooperation outside national borders, it is equally critical to have a strong scientific base at home. Our intent is for 8ECM to have a big impact on promoting mathematics as an interdisciplinary field, especially among younger generations. We must demonstrate that they have the support and well-established grounds to explore their curiosity in all fields of science.

We are grateful to each and everyone who offered support to make this event possible and are looking forward to welcoming you at the 8th European Congress of Mathematics!
