This Sunday, 5 July 2020, would mark the first day of the 8th European Congress of Mathematics. As the world faced a widespread epidemic of COVID - 19 we all found ourselves in a situation where we had to prepare for the challenges ahead. It was not an easy decision to postpone the 8ECM, but fortunately we received full support from the European Mathematical Society, and especially from the mathematical community around the world.

Following this decision, we are reopening the Open Calls for Minisymposia and Satellite Conferences.

There are over 60 accepted Minisymposia so far, unfortunately most of the Satellite Conferences scheduled for this year had to be either postponed or cancelled. We invite all interested parties who wish to apply for organizing either a Minisymposium or a Satellite Conference to submit their proposals by 31 January 2021 at the latest.
