Announcement for 8ECM Poster Submissions

8ECM is offering participants the chance to present their research in the form of a poster, to be submitted to a minisymposium or one of the 18 special sessions

Posters may be submitted via the personal registration platform after January 2020. All submissions will be reviewed by the minisymposium organizer or, for special sessions, by the local scientific committee.

All posters should present the main points of mathematical work that can be quickly grasped by other mathematicians.

The standard poster dimension should be in the format B1 (707 x 1000 mm), with content positioned vertically. Fonts in the poster should not be smaller than 18pt, or at least the size that is still large enough to read. The image format should be PDF.

Participants will have the option for their posters to be printed by a Slovenian publishing company Demago.si and delivered to Congress Centre Bernadin approximately a week prior to the 8ECM. Price for one printed poster will be approximately 25 € (EUR). English version of the online shop will be available soon and will be announced here https://8ecm.eu/program/posters . Participants are not required to choose this printing service. However, they are responsible for printing and transporting their own poster otherwise.

We advise all participants not to print their poster until they receive confirmation from the local scientific committee (or MS Chair) that their poster has been approved.

In addition, or alternately, participants may present their poster in a video. The video must be no longer than 3 minutes and will be posted on the 8ECM YouTube channel after it has been approved. All participants who submit a video presentation will be eligible for a competition!

Participants submitting a poster will be asked to consent that their work may be shared at the 8ECM, and on YouTube and social platforms and media associated with the 8ECM and the University of Primorska (in accordance with GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation).

More details will be available soon. We look forward to receiving your poster submission for the 8ECM!
