On 29 April 2019, the Electoral Commission examined all the received complete candidate proposals and confirmed the official List of candidates. Three members of the University of Primorska (Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, Institute Andrej Marušič and Faculty of Education) nominated Prof. Klavdija Kutnar, while Senates of the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Tourism Studies and the Faculty of Health Sciences, voted to support Prof. Kutnar.
All eligible voters (University professors, researchers, assistants and associates, students and other employees) were able to vote during early elections on 20th May and on regular elections on 23rd May.
Prof. Klavdija Kutnar will take over the rector's office on 23 November 2019.
